Should Pepsi and Coca Cola be banned???

A recent survey by a leading institute in India declared that these carbonated drinks have high pesticide levels than that specified by the Health administration of India. Sale of these carbonated drinks should be banned was also recommended. These companies came back saying that the levels of pesticides are according to the levels accepted and recognised by the European boards.

What I need here for you all to say is "Do we live in Europe to accept their standards and levels in our food and drink contents" or do we listen to our own people? (Who exactly do we represent?) secondly, Why has the Govt of India has done nothing to stop production and sale of these drinks all over India when only a part of India has recognised and banned it??( It is currently banned in four states in India) Why are these companies still out there making huge profits and taking away our valuable currency to their country at the cost of Indian Lives? What kind of globalisation /free trade is this?
